Ceramic Rise and Fall Lamps

Rise and fall lamps are a great choice for over a table, and our ceramic versions instantly add a touch of Gallic charm. These lamps are real classics from our grandmothers’ time and can sometimes still be picked up in French antique shops. Our ceramic lamps are faithful copies of one such antique, hand-made by craftsmen in the traditional way.

We offer our rise and fall light in two colours, a natural light cream and a jade green, with more colours planned soon.

The ceramic shade, counterweight and ceiling rose of the lamp have been hand- glazed, making for a less uniformly applied finish which is all the charm of the product. The glaze has a crackled effect and there are slight variations from one batch to another.

The metal parts of this lovely rise and fall lamp are made from aged brass and the twisted silver fabric flex completes the retro feel.

We also offer simple ceramic suspended lamps to match our rise and fall as well as a stunning billiard lamp with ceramic shades.
